What Is Infrared Yoga?

If you've never heard of infrared yoga, you're not alone. Here's a simple explanation.

Infrared Heat

Unlike traditional hot yoga that heats the air, infrared panels emit a gentle radiant warmth that penetrates the body directly — similar to the warmth of sunlight, without UV rays.

Deeper Benefits

The warmth helps relax muscles, improve flexibility, support circulation, and promote a deeper sense of calm — all without the oppressive heat of a traditional hot room.

Beginner-Friendly

The studio temperature is warm and comfortable — not overwhelming. Most beginners are surprised by how good it feels, even in their very first class.

What to Expect in Your First Class


Walking into a new studio can feel nerve-wracking. Here's exactly what happens so you can arrive with confidence.

Before class: Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in, get oriented, and find a spot. Our front desk team will walk you through everything.

During class: Your instructor will guide you through every pose with clear cues. There's no expectation to keep up — rest whenever you need to, and modify anything that doesn't feel right.

After class: Most students feel a deep sense of calm and relaxation. Drink plenty of water and give yourself a moment to settle before heading out.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to know any poses. You just need to show up.

What to Bring

Pack light. Here's everything you need for your first class.

Bring With You

  • Water bottle (large — you'll sweat!)
  • Yoga mat (or borrow one from us)
  • Comfortable, breathable workout clothes
  • A small towel for your mat
  • An open mind and a willingness to try

Neither were most of our students on day one. Flexibility is a result of yoga — not a requirement for it.

Out of shape?

Our classes meet you where you are. Every pose has modifications, and resting in child's pose is always an option.

Never done yoga before?

Perfect. Our instructors love first-timers. You'll receive clear guidance from start to finish — no prior knowledge needed.

Worried about the heat?

Infrared heat is gentle and therapeutic, not intense or suffocating. Most people find it deeply relaxing — even on their first visit.

Common Questions from New Students

Not at all. Flexibility is something you develop through yoga — it's not a prerequisite. Many of our most dedicated students started with very little flexibility and have seen remarkable changes over time. Come as you are.
Our studio uses infrared heating panels, which create a warm and comfortable environment — typically between 85–95°F depending on the class. It's a gentle, therapeutic warmth that most students find deeply relaxing, not overwhelming.
Wear comfortable, breathable workout clothes you can move freely in. Shorts and a tank top or fitted leggings work well. You'll be barefoot in the studio, so no need for shoes.

You're welcome to bring your own mat, but we also have mats available to borrow if you don't have one yet. We recommend bringing a small towel and a large water bottle.

Rest whenever you need to — no questions asked. Child's pose is always an option, and our instructors will never pressure you to push past your comfort zone. Listening to your body is part of the practice.
No contract, no commitment. The 2 Week Unlimited Intro is a one-time purchase that gives you two full weeks of unlimited classes. After that, it's completely up to you whether you'd like to continue.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your first class. This gives you time to check in, get settled, meet the instructor, and ask any questions before class begins.
